As part of Thrive Africa, Loom is able to offer our 100% Accelerated Promise: 100% of public donations go directly to fund projects among the most vulnerable. We even pay back credit card fees, meaning if a donor gives $100 and we receive only $97, we still send the full $100 to projects and people in need. Since we treat the project and operations sides of our nonprofit separately, including separate bank accounts, we can guarantee that every public dollar donated goes directly where you intended.

 

How Are Funds Distributed? 

100% Accelerated Funds are always distributed in a network of existing relationships, with ongoing communication. An independent advisory group evaluates current needs among projects and individuals and ensures funds are distributed equitably across different communities and nations. No one on the advisory group or Loom International staff or their immediate family members benefit from these funds. Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes! Loom International is a registered 501c3 in the United States. All donations will receive a receipt confirming their tax-deductible status. Our Tax ID/EIN is 27-2924621.

Will I be sent a receipt?

Yes! When you donate online, a receipt will automatically be emailed to you as confirmation of your donation. All other donations will receive a receipt by mail or email within several business days.

How much of my donation goes straight to the programs?

With our 100% Acceleration Campaign, we can guarantee that – you guessed it – 100% of your donation goes directly to the designated fund. Loom covers all administrative fees, including bank and credit card fees, and international transfer fees, meaning if a donor gives $100 and we receive only $97, we make up the $3 and send the full $100 to projects and people in need. We can guarantee that every dollar donated goes directly where you intended.

How can I be sure my donation is being invested wisely?

Since we treat the field project and operation sides of our business separately, including separate bank accounts, we can guarantee that every public dollar donated goes directly to projects in vulnerable communities. We invest in projects with measurable track records and years of experience working among the most vulnerable. Loom International is certified by the ECFA as a registered nonprofit organization with established standards for financial accountability, transparency, fundraising, and board governance.

Generous private donors have agreed to fund all of our operating expenses as a part of Thrive Africa. Thanks to them, we can offer donors a trustworthy way to leverage their investments on behalf of the most vulnerable.

Can I donate by mail, or over the phone?

Definitely. Donations can be made by sending a check written out to Loom International to 14504 NE Fremont Court, Portland, OR 97230, or by leaving a message at 503.922.2556.

Will my name and information be shared with other parties?

Loom International respects your privacy and abides by all information privacy laws. We will never share your information with other parties and you are welcome to unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time.
