Vulnerable children are often the most likely to be exploited by traffickers. A recent report by the UN states that “in the least developed countries, children often comprise large shares of the detected victims.” In Sub-Saharan Africa and Central America and the Caribbean, a majority of the detected victims are children. These children are forced into slave labor, brothels, street begging, fighting wars, and many other forms of exploitation.
We know our God has not forgotten these children, and that they are precious and valuable to Him. His desire is to “bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.” (Isaiah 61:3)
PLEASE PRAY FOR:
- That trafficking rings would be exposed and prosecuted, and victims would be freed.
- For survivors to access the support and services they need to heal and live a life of freedom.
- That countries would prioritize the protection of vulnerable children in their communities
