Dinadi, Nepal
DESCRIPTION:
The social enterprise, Dinadi, was started in April 2016 by Preston and Mirjam, who live and work in Nepal. Currently they have employed 63 women who knit hats, mittens and scarves. These woman are extremely poor and completely dependent on their work with Dinadi. Some are from villages, others impacted by recent earthquakes and have to work as their husbands were injured and can no longer work. Some of the woman still live in earthquake shelters.
The Thiessen’s desire is that Dinadi would be a brand that people immediately connect to beautiful, hand crafted, knitted and crocheted products and ethical employment, a company where everyone is given an opportunity. They would like to share hope with the women in their community, as well as provide their families with a better life.
PLEASE PRAY FOR:
- That Dinadi would receive enough orders so that they can keep all women employed
- That Preston and Mirjam would be refreshed and strengthened
- For their youngest son’s health
