Your generous donations make it possible for us to train and equip projects all over the world.
John leads a team that provides education, medical care and food to children and families in East Africa. Hundreds of students now walk toward a future full of hope and opportunity, because of John's passionate investment in his community.
Loom provides John and his team with training and resources, partnering with them to maximize the effectiveness of their work.
YOUR donation allows partnerships like that to happen, not just in East Africa, but all over the world.
It's that simple. Together, change is possible.

“If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together.” - African Proverb
At Loom, we place the highest value on people, knowing that a group of inspired individuals with a clear vision and strategy can make real, long-lasting impact. Our focus is working as a team and we love when new people bring fresh life and energy to our group. You may just be one of those people. Interested? There are three ways to work with Loom:
Loom promotes a culture that encourages personal growth and work effectiveness. As a Learning Organization, we believe that as we learn together, we become more of who we are meant to be, individually and as an organization.
The Loom home office currently comprises 14 staff and an alternating number of interns. Our office rarely looks the same from day to day. A few of the team will be out visiting a project somewhere in the world, some may be running training courses in any number of locations while others work remotely. We love the innovation that these ever-changing situations provide and at the same value connection, community and maintaining togetherness at our core.
From the Executive Director to the newest staff member, each Loom staff is responsible for building a team of individuals and churches who work together to finance their salary and benefits. For questions about this or more information, please contact: email@example.com.
Please download an application form here. Once we receive your application, we will:
- notify you when it is complete, including references.
- schedule an interview.
- consider your application and interview and if our hiring team decides we are a good fit for each other, Loom will issue an invitation for you to join our team.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org. We’d love to chat via email/phone or face to face.
Interns make a huge contribution to Loom’s work both in Portland and around the world. We are always looking for people from diverse back-grounds and skill-sets. Whether your studies are in design, photography, IT, marketing, communications, social justice, global development—you name it, we’re probably interested! We’d love to hear about what you think you could bring to our team!
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. Each internship is developed specifically around the intern’s skills and ability. Interns work 40 hours a week unless otherwise arranged prior to internship and will report to a Loom staff member.
Loom does not offer paid internships or benefits.
If you would like to intern with us please email email@example.com and include:
- your course of study/degree program
- course requirements
- your skills and abilities
- why you want to intern with Loom.
We are incredibly grateful for the support and commitment of our volunteers. There are varying opportunities for volunteer work with Loom including but not limited to:
- on-location assistance on projects locally and internationally.
- special events here in Portland such as annual fundraisers.
- big mail outs or end-of-year marketing communication.
If you're interested in learning more about volunteering, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will contact you when a volunteer opportunity arises.
